For Mission CC-RB-23-A we tasked ourselves with creating a bold, yet balanced Bordeaux blend from California’s Central Coast. We reconnoitered multiple AVAs to find the perfect wines to form this blend. Ultimately, we discovered world class Merlot from the Santa Ynez Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon from Adelaida District in Paso Robles. These two wines perfectly complemented each other and came together to form a wine that swings well outside its weight class. Thus accomplishing our mission of creating the highest quality red blend at the most affordable price.
A full-bodied Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon blend with baked blackberry, leather, and herbal aromas leading the charge. Nextthrough the breach are wonderful notes of plum, red cherry, and baking spice on the palate with surprisingly gentle tannins.
