The Parade Rest Reserve is the top barrels of Slouch Hat’s Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre blended together in a Syrah heavy blend to bring you the best of what Santa Barbara County has to offer. With only 94 cases produced this wine will be very difficult to find and exclusive to only a select few of our top accounts as well as our tasting room. This wine ended up seeing 10% new French oak and the remainder was aged in neutral oak barrels. This brings a hint of sawdust on the nose that compliments the red fruit and stealthy tannins on the palate. Like all of Slouch Hat’s wines we strived to make a wine that can be paired with the finest meals, but also while slouching into the couch while watching TV. This is the epitome of that wine.
Aromas of red fruit, cut wood, and sweet spice draw you into the glass while flavors of wild strawberry, spiced sandalwood, and silky tannins seduce you into another taste.
